“Subscribe” - Get alerts whenever your neighbors spot a whale. This defaults to any day of the week between 8am-8pm.
“Help” - We’ll send you a reminder of how this works.
“Weekend” - Get alerts only on Saturday & Sunday.
“Anytime” - Switch back to get alerts any day of the week.
“Unsubscribe” or “Stop” - Stop getting alerts. You can still report a whale.
About Us
Ahoy! We’re two Stinson Beach residents — Kaitlyn & Mike. We built West Marin Whale Alerts in May of 2020, while sheltering-in-place during the coronavirus pandemic. When we started to see the first few whales of the 2020 humpback migration, we realized we could create a small way for our West Marin neighbors to spread the joy of whale sightings and connect with each other through these majestic animals.
P.S. This is a free service for for our community. However, if your cell plan charges you for text messages, those normal rates will apply.
